Dibrova O. Formation and development of global project management

The thesis is devoted to the research of the global project management formation and justification of its further development directions. The thesis investigated phenomenon of globalization, identified role of multinational and global companies in economic processes. It was discovered that global companies' activity often takes form of the global projects that necessitates global project management further development. The work reveals global project peculiarities, essence of main stages of project management development, proposed expanded interpretation of the concept "global project management". Existing approaches to the formulation of global project management principles were systematized, main features and trends of global project activity were identified. Basic problem areas and shortcomings of project management tools application at different levels of global companies were determined. Global project management model was developed, appropriate organizational structure of managing project activities in global companies was described, approach to the net present value model was modified for increasing global project management efficiency.
