Essay

The dissertation is devoted to research of formation and development of organizational-pedagogical bases of training and education of the blind in the Kharkov special gymnasium-boarding for blind children in the period from 1887 until 1941. In the dissertation are reflected preconditions for the emergence of the idea training and education of the blind in the second half of the XIX century, methods of training and education of the blind at the close of the XIX- the first half of the XX centuries. The system of education of the blind and deaf blind children was analyzed on the example of a single institution; which has been characterized by the structure, contents and methods of training, educational, correctional work in the process of development of the theory and practice of typhlopedagogic; determined socio-economic, socio-political and cultural factors, which influenced the development of the training of the blind and deaf blind in Kharkov school for the blind. There have been discloses the contribution of the teachers of the school in development of national and world typhlopedagogic, in the theory and practice of training and education of children with disabilities. The major periods and stages of development of the Kharkov school for the blind.
