Object of the research: the process of professional training of future specialists of fire-rescue service. Subject: organizational and pedagogical conditions of forming psychological and pedagogical competence of future specialists of fire-rescue service in higher educational establishment. Purpose: to substantiate theoretically and to prove experimentally organizational and pedagogical conditions that increase the effectiveness of the process of forming psychological and pedagogical competence of future specialists of fire-rescue service. Methods: theoretical (study and analysis of literature, documents, educational plans, programmes; interpretational and analytical; theoretical modelling); empiric (pedagogical observation, conversations, questionnaires, testing, pedagogical experiment, scientific prognostication); statistic. Scientific novelty: criteria and indices of psychological and pedagogical competence are determined, levels of forming psychological and pedagogical competence are characterized, model is worked out and organizational and pedagogical conditions of forming psychological and pedagogical competence of future specialists of fire-rescue service are substantiated.
