Object of research: informative potential of society. Purpose of research: development of theoretical and methodological bases of forming of mechanisms of development of informative potential of society due to his constituents. Methods of research: methods of supervision, comparison, generalization, abstracting, formalization, analysis and synthesis. Results: modern conception of forming and support of informative potential of the system of higher education is worked out; a category vehicle is improved on development of theory of informative economy; a structure, historical and economical pre-conditions of informative potential of society and descriptions of informative potential of the system of higher education, is certain; mechanisms and principles of development of informative potential are systematized; the system of indexes of estimation of constituents of informative sector of national economy of Ukraine and got further development description of informatively-communication infrastructure, science and innovative system, human potential and education; the methodical going is specified near diagnosticating of informative potential and the use of methods of mathematical design is extended; modern problems and progress of mechanisms of the system of higher education trends are certain in the conditions of informative society; the key problems of development of informative potential of the system of higher education are systematized as to the constituent of informative society.
