Essay

The object of the study is the process of overcoming inequalities between center and periphery in the EU economy. The aim of the research is theoretical justification of the center-periphery processes in the international economy and identifying the trends in overcoming inequalities between the center and periphery of the EU on this basis, and also the development of proposals for the implementation the Ukraine's European aspirations.The theoretical and methodological basis of the research is the "core-periphery" concepts and theories, new economic geography as the basis for the study of inequalities between countries. Scientific results obtained on the basis of usage the system, an abstract logical, deductive approach to define trends in overcoming the inequalities between the center and the periphery of the EU. Scientific novelty of the results is to distinguish the latest trends in overcoming inequalities between center and periphery in the European Union and the development of proposals for closer cooperation between the EU and Ukraine in speeding up its economic development.The results are implementd in the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada Committee of Ukraine on Fuel and Energy Complex, Nuclear Policy and Nuclear Safety, Department of International Cooperation and European Integration of the Rivne Regional State Administration, LLC "SPE" Inter State Group ", Kyiv, in educational process Rivne State Humanitarian University by teaching "European integration", "International Economics", "History of Economic Thought" and "International Finance". Scope - the world economy and international economic relations.
