Object of research: the actual state of nutrition and health of pregnant women who live on territories contaminated with radionuclides as a result of Chernobyl accident throughout the post-accident period. Method: bibliographic, sanitation, clinical, biochemical, physiological, mathematical, the spectral-dynamic, calculations and statistical analysis.Theoretical and and practical results: analysis of soil contamination level of 137Cs and the exposure of pregnant women who live on contaminated and iodine defficienced territories of Ivankivsky district in Kyiv region. Complex research was done and and it was given the hygienic assessment of actual nutrition state and nutritional status index of pregnant women, identified the most typical nutrient deficiencies among women, certain priority deficiencies of macro- and micronutrients in nutrition. Science-based measures correcting deficits of essential nutrients of expectant mothers and child living in the contaminated areas of Ukraine. Developed and put into practice daily menu, balanced in nutrient composition, for nutrition of women in the first and second half of pregnancy. Scientific novelty: for the first time in the present socio-economic conditions of the contaminated territories, the state of actal nutrition of pregnant women in Ukrainian Polissya determinated, as such, that does not meet the rational. The hygienic estimation of basic nutrients of pregnant women was done. It is shown that the actual nutrition of pregnant women did not meet the physiological needs. Diets containing a narrow range of products nutrient composition was unbalanced. Determined that the most widespread and deep in pregnant women were deficits of minerals: Fe, J, Ca, K, Mg and P. Lower than the rate in pregnant women with contaminated areas was the content of vitamins in nutrition. The most widespread were deficiencies of vitamins A, D, E, B9, B1, C, B2, E, B-carotene, PP, B6, B12. Determinated that 22% of inspected in 2007 women, recorded light iodine deficiency, in 61% of women experienced a moderate degree of iodine deficiency, and 17% - manifested severe degree of iodine deficiency. Science-based and implemented in practice healthcare ways of alimentary correction of major nutrient deficiencies among pregnant women in different periods of the year, especially for vitamins E, D, A, C, B9, B, and micro- (I, Fe, Se, Zn, Cu) and macroelements (Mg, Ca, P, K). For nutrition of pregnant women in remote post-accident period in contaminated and iodine deficiency regions of Ukrainian Polissya we developed and implemented in public health practice recipes dishes balanced by nutrient composition. Degree of implementation: case studies in the form of 4 acts implementing results of the thesis in the learning process. Use sphere: hygiene, obstetrics, medicine.
