Melnyk Y. International Competition of Mining and Smelting Transnational Corporations

The character of competition in international commodity markets in the age of globalization is revealed in the thesis, the essence and forms of transnational corporation competitiveness appearance is studied, international competitiveness evaluation methods and peculiarities of its measuring in transnational mining and smelting corporations are considered. Endogen and exogenous factors of competitiveness of mining and smelting transnational corporations are analyzed, management re-engineering of international competitiveness of these corporations is carried out, the regional product matrix of energy intensity of mining and smelting products of companies in various countries is developed and the competitiveness model of mining and smelting transnational corporations is proposed. The strategies for strengthening of competitive positions of national enterprises of metallurgical sector in the world markets in conditions of Ukraine membership in WTO are characterized in the integrated manner, implementation trends of innovative technologies are revealed, and methods for efficiency improvement of ecological activity of the field companies in the context of observance of Kyoto Protocol provisions are justified.
