The dissertation is a theoretical and experimental research of the formation of multicultural competence of future teachers of history in the process of professional training. The pedagogical conditions of multicultural competence of future teachers of history in the process of professional training and the model of this process are scientifically substantiated and experimentally implemented. The model contains a target block (the aim and the task), a content block (the multicultural component of professional training of future teachers of history), an organization and activity block (the stages and the pedagogical conditions), and a control-resulting block (the criteria, levels, indicators of the levels of multicultural competence of future teachers of history). The structural components (motivational and evaluative, cognitive, activitable, personal and reflective), the criteria (motivational, cognitive, activitable, personal and reflective), levels (highest, middle, lowest), indicators of the levels of multicultural competence of future teachers of history are specified. The features of the professional training of teachers of history in the context of multiculturalism and the meaning of history for the formation of multiculturalism of a personality are defined.
