The dissertation discloses theoretical and methodological aspects of studying the development of phonemic distribution of different structural languages in the works of linguists of the 2nd half of the 19th - the beginning of the 21st centuries for the first time in Linguistic Historiography. The peculiarities of studying of sound cluster in the works of scientists of the 19th - 20s century are analyzed, the research of the phonemic distribution in linguistics of the 1930s - the beginning of the 21st centuries with the reckoning of evolution of points of view of different aspects of phonemic distribution.
