The thesis is another effort to explore the linguistic nature of the term and terminology; it contains the description of qualitative and quantitative features of the term compared to other lexico-nominative units of the language for specific purposes, it fixes the difference between the socio-political and technical terminology. In the paper the terminology under analyses is located within the notional and nominative continuums of the political sciences, its common notional-terminological model is built.
