Essay

The study represents dynamics of cultural and artistic processes among Ukrainian artistic Diaspora in late 1940 – 1970's that embraced artistic and musical life in Europe, America and Australia.Ukrainian cultural presence in European capitals during the interwar period largely influenced the structure of Ukrainian postwar art emigration. Multilevel dialogues of Ukrainian artists and art critics in directions Lviv – Prague – Vienna – Krakow – Munich – Paris formed a new image of Ukrainian art. Postwar Art emigration, formed as a result of the so-called Third wave of emigration and focused mainly on the American and Australian continents as well as in Europe, became an example of the consolidation of Ukrainian artistic forces in exile in situation of statelessness.
