Zhupanenko V. The organisation and development of the European Union stock market infrastructure

The thesis focuses on the complex analysis of theoretical and practical aspects of the organization and development of the European Union stock market infrastructure. The role of infrastructure in the market economy had been revealed, the evolution of the stock market infrastructure evolvement concepts had been shown, and its subject identification and structure-functional segmentation had been developed. The characteristics of the preconditions and the identification of the stages of the European Union stock market infrastructure evolvement had been introduced. The main attention is dedicated to the highlighting of the functioning distinctions, mechanisms and instruments of trade, accounting and information, processing and clearing operations, as well as regulatory, technical, insurance and innovative components of the European Union stock market infrastructure. A deep analysis of the integration processes in this sphere with the use of econometric methods had been conducted. The condition of the Ukrainian stock market infrastructure and problems of its functioning had been evaluated. A comparative analysis of legal, organizational and economic criteria for the Ukrainian and European stock markets had been made. Identification of the core concept vectors and substantiation of specific measures for the improvement of the Ukrainian stock market infrastructure with the purpose of its Euro integration adaptation had been determined.
