The traditional practices of the Ukrainian family rite of the second half of the XVIIth-XVIIIth century are researched in the dissertation. The scientific literature on the researched problem is analyzed, the key concepts: cultural practice, traditional cultural practice, ritual, family ritual are refined. The features of the family morality of the Ukrainians, the stereotypical directions of their traditionally communication in the family are elucidated. The attributes of the traditional ethical and esthetical principles of the socially life in the Ukraine of the mentioned historical period are characterized. The essence of the organization of the public leisure is analyzed in the context with the principles of the ethic of the collectivism, mutual aid, institute of the nepotism and etc. The features of the regulation of the family life of the Ukrainians at that time are defined.
