This dissertation focuses on the issue which consists in determining the role of NO-synthase isoforms, their substrate L-arginine and peroxynitrite in the mechanisms of the activation of free radical processes, the development of bioenergy insufficiency and the disorganization of gum connective tissue in rats under the modeling of increased nitric oxide production from exogenous precursor (chronic sodium nitrate intoxication).
