The dissertation is devoted to defining the problem of formation of professionally significant qualities of future information security professionals in higher technical education in the process of study of science and natural subjects. The essence of "professionally significant qualities" exposed. The components of professionally significant qualities of future specialist in information security are defined. The dissertation also defined criteria (intellectual, personal, practice-oriented, social-psychological, motivational and evaluative, creative, reflective); indicators and levels of professionally significant qualities of future specialists in information security (creative, productive, combinational, reproductive). Organizational and diagnostic model of professionally significant qualities of future professionals in information security is experimentally checked. The elective course "Fundamental theories of physics" for students in the field of knowledge 1701 "Information Security" is developed and implanted.
