Makogonchuk N. Formation of the civil competence of the future border guard-officers during the studying of the socio-humanitarian disciplines

The essence of the civic competence as a professionally personal quality, that consists of the formed civic values system, civic knowledge and skills and reflects the readiness of the border guard officer to do his civic and professional duty – to protect the state border guard service of Ukraine is discovered. The criteria and indices of the specified notion have been defined, its levels have been characterized and the state of civic competence of the future border guard officers formation has been found out. Also the pedagogical conditions of formation of the given competence of the future border guard officers have been grounded and checked experimentally in the course of studying the socio-humanitarian disciplines: the teaching and educational process orientation on the civic competence formation in the future border guard officers; the border guard officers motivation to be interested in the civic competence formation through the efficient combination of the traditional and innovational teaching methods; the civic self-completion promotion of the future border guard officers through the encouragement to the civic self-education; organization of the special scientific and methodological teacher’s training to formation the civic competence in the future border guard officers. As a result, the methodological recommendations for the scientific and pedagogical staff as for the civic competence formation are worked out.
