The paper focuses on the study of the concept TRUTH from linguistic and cultural point of view. The work is based upon modern approaches to language study - cognitivism and anthropocentrism. Different methods of analysis (cultural-semiotic, logical-philosophic, conceptual, comparative, quantitative and some others) gave the opportunity to outline the etymology of words expressing this concept, its notional content, figurative constituent, and value component in Ukrainian, English and Modern Greek languages
