The thesis deals with the problem of reflection of the spiritual image of Vernadsky in the epistolary heritage of the great scientist. Category of "spiritual" is interpreted as the ratio of the transcendent (spirit) and the immanent (soul). Justified position on the implementation of the phenomenon of "spiritual" in the legacy of Vernadsky, associated with the decision of existential problems: the search for meaning in life, starting a family, the formation of the scientific way of the scientist-philosopher and others. The dissertation is due typology epistolary texts are characterized by their features: writing an autobiography, letters, diaries, letters, reflections, essays, letters, diaries, sketches, etc. Thesis theme discussed in the context of the Silver Age, in the ratio of the outstanding cultural figures. Of particular importance is the Ukrainian theme: correspondence with other A. E. Krymsky and reveals the path of formation of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, where Vernadsky was the first president and the creation of the Tauride University.
