Kushnierova O. Linguistic and cognitive parameters of expressed in verse texts (a study of Т. Hughes's "Birthday Letters", V. Hrabovsky's "Споглядання дерева" and E. Asadov's "Судьбы и сердца" love lyrics collections)

The thesis suggests a new contrastive approach to poem writing process study and its result - poem - in cognitive poetics; complex methods for the analysis of linguistic and cognitive parameters of English, Ukrainian, Russian poems have been developed; it characterizes linguistic and cognitive parameters of poems from love poetry collections "Birthday Letters" by Т. Hughes, "Споглядання дерева" by V. Hrabovsky and "Судьбы и сердца" by E. Asadov as interaction of poets' cognitive and creative origins, which are generated by the altered states of consciousness; the exponents of the authors' altered states of consciousness on the phonetic level have been determined on the basis of anagrammatical principle of the poem organization; it reveals lexical and semantic potential of English, Ukrainian, Russian poems; it characterizes syntactic means to express poets' creative thinking on the grammatical level of the analyzed poems.
