Essay

A critical analysis of the state of the study of the problem of quality of education and a historical and philosophical analysis of the qualitative characteristics of education revealing the transformation of the object's peculiarities through the definition of its attributes while studying education paradigms are given in the thesis. Analyzing quality of education in the historical and philosophical context, defining quality of education as a category in a philosophic dimension, and analyzing an axiological dimension of quality of education is the novelty of the thesis. The manuscript deals with the peculiarities of defining quality of education which follows from the contradiction between the needs of the society of nowadays and the outputs of education systems that cannot always meet the needs of that kind. It is grounded that in a philosophical context quality of education reflects gross attributes of education as a system, being self-organizing and evolving in its capacity to meet the requirements of individuals and the society, the needs being set, predicted, and forecast. It is also grounded that the essence of the category should be realized considering quality of education as a dynamic process which is influenced on not only by the outputs of education, but by a possible impact as a process of the formation of education attributes, the impact being predetermined both by the internal potential and external environment.
