The thesis presents the examination of the role and importance of European geopolitical space in European and Eurasian geopolitical concepts. The author investigated the geopolitical space of Europe as a principal strategic component of the Euro-Atlantic area. It includes comprehensive characteristics of the European geopolitical space in the context of Ukraine's pro-European orientation and the tasks of interaction in the fields of politics, economy and security.The state of national security of Ukraine in the terms of current geopolitical situation and from the point of view of main approaches and possible scenarios determining Ukraine's position within the geopolitical space and security relations in Europe were analyzed.
