Essay

The research object was the effect of cryopreserved cord blood serum (CCBS) and carbon nanostructures (CNS) on structural and metabolic indices of joint cartilage at osteoarthrosis (OA) of knee joints. The research aim was to examine the effect of cryopreserved cord blood serum and CNS on structural and metabolic state of cartilage tissue during OA of knee joints. Research methods were the ones of cell culturing, clinical, biochemical, morphological, statistical. The results: there was designed the method of coolant injection into a joint cavity. It has been shown that injury of the joints is characterized with the complex of clinical, biochemical, morphological changes and depends on the type and temperature of a coolant. There was proved biological compatibility of CNS in vitro and in vivo, there was found that being in cartilage cavity they cause mechanical trauma of a joint surface. It has been shown that CCBS improves clinical counts and indices of structural and metabolic processes at OA of knee joints and has more manifested therapeutic effect versus "Alflutop" comparative drug. New data. For the first time there was proved the possibility of using CCBS when treating OA of knee joints in experiment. For the first time there was found that systemic introduction of CCBS contributes to decreasing the distribution and pathomorphological manifestation, positively affects the level of inflammation and destruction markers in blood serum in the rats with OA of knee joints. For the first time the absence of CNS toxic effect was shown.
