Baran H. Language of Ukrainian poetic prayer of XIX - XXI centuries

The language of Ukrainian poetic prayer of XIX - XXI centuries is investigated in the thesis. The definition of "literary prayer" and "poetic prayer" is proposed. Ukrainian poetic-prayers time-periodical analyze is given. Common features for the examples of the genre of Ukrainian literature are established. Features of religious and arts styles of the Ukrainian language in the examples of this genre are given. The degree of use of literature and folklore elements and individual author's specifics of their usage in poetic-prayers of XIX - XXI centuries are distinguished. The usage of such features of religious style as a religious vocabulary, ecclesiastical Slavism's, words of Greek origin etc., biblical and liturgical phraseology and expressions related to the Bible, syntax, religious typical style are analyzed. Moreover the features of arts style, which are in poetic prayers of XIX - XXI centuries: epithets, comparisons, poetic syntax. Linguistics means of Ukrainian Christian poetic prayer of XIX - XXI centuries are compared with peculiarities of Christian poetic prayer of XX - beginning XXI centuries.
