The dissertation is devoted to formation of gnostic skills in the young teachers in the process of professional becoming. The papers contain the clearing up the essential characteristics of the basic concepts of the investigation: "the young teacher", "the development", "the becoming", "the professional becoming", "the formation of gnostic skills", "professional development"; it is analyzed the current state of the problem of forming the gnostic skills in the young teachers. The model of forming the gnostic skills in the young teachers is theoretically grounded; it is defined its structural components, criteria, indicators and levels of gnostic skills formation in the young teachers. The pedagogical conditions and stage-to-stage methods of forming the gnostic skills in the young teachers in the process of professional becoming are developed and experimentally verified. The main results of the papers are implemented in educational process of the institutes of higher learning as well as in the institutes of postgraduate pedagogical education.
