Essay

The thesis is dedicated to: analysis of avoidable hospitalization to inpatient, day and home hospitals among children of Lviv region, Ukraine; factors of primary health care obtained by children prior to their hospitalization; their inpatient hospital (IH) care management, and developing of an avoidable hospitalization model in pediatrics. Avoidable hospitalization rates to different types of hospital due to 16 ambulatory care sensitive conditions (ACSC), chosen by Ukrainian experts, among urban and rural children were analyzed. Avoidable hospitalization rates to IH due to ACSC were positively associated with quantity of children beds per 10 thousand of children and prevalence rates of ACSC.
