The present paper reveals interconnections between professional motivation and the personal characteristics of the officers, they arranging the conditions for the substantial escalation of efficiency of military-professional activity. The psychological program of development of professional motivation of officers, based on training as a form of active studying, has been developed and tested. Experimental research shows positive effect of the motivational training on the professional development of officers of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
