Dissertation is devoted to the problem of development of marketing competence of leaders of higher educational establishments of I-II accreditation levels in the system of advanced studies. State of the problem under investigation is analyzed in scientific-methodical literature; the analysis of conceptual approaches to marketing work of pedagogical colleges, development of marketing competence of their leaders has been made. It is theoretically grounded and experimentally proved that the model of development of marketing competence of leaders of higher educational establishments of I-II accreditation levels positively influences both on the state of formation of marketing competence and on administrative activity in general. Efficiency of forms and means of organization of leaders' studying in the process of course preparation and intercourse period is examined. Methodical recommendations are prepared concerning the issue of introduction of marketing and oriented further training into the system of advanced studies.
