Essay

The dissertation deals with the terminological system of law presented as structural and specially organized totality of terminological units. The nature and the essence of a legal term are examined, the characteristics of the mentioned language units existing in the modern linguistics are discovered and commented on. Terminological dominants of the legal sphere of Russian, Ukrainian and German languages are analyzed and the directions of their forming and acting are marked. The principles of separating omonimistic and poly-semantic words-terms are proposed, the specific features of terminological antonymy in comparison with general language units are defined.
