Object: the process of physical education of university students, the aim is theoretical justification and experimental verification of the technique of application of improving the system of hatha-yoga in extracurricular work of higher education for students 17 - 20 years; methods: methods of theoretical analysis, synthesis, methods of information consolidation, methods of software and standard documentation analysis, questionnaires, surveys, interviews, methods of pedagogical observation, testing and experiment, methods of psychological diagnosis, biomedical research methods, methods of mathematical statistics; the novelty: first developed and experimentally substantiated application technique of improving the system of hatha-yoga with students of higher educational institution under extracurricular activities; field - theory and methodology of education (physical culture, basic health).
