Essay

The theoretical and methodological principles of research of cross-border cooperation are grounded in the dissertation. It is proved that in the conditions of the direction of European integration of Ukraine it can serve as one of the way of the intensification of political, economic and socio-cultural relations between Ukraine and Russia. The integral index of social-economic development of the border regions is calculated and the quality of life of their population is estimated. A mechanism for deepening regions' cross-border cooperation of Ukrainian-Russian borderlands is compiled.
