Sviatenko Y. Regression of siblings' behaviour under the influence of relationships in the family

The study focuses on how siblings' psyche is formed under the influence of parenting. The study substantiates the phenomenon of regression and defines its functional characteristics in terms of various psychological approaches. It outlines the destructive factors affecting how the psyche of siblings is formed and related to deformations of upbringing. It defines specifics of regressions demonstration in sibling interaction (aggression, jealousy, rivalry, passivity, infantilism, etc.). The relationship between the regression of sibling's behaviour in the family and personal development retardation due to dramatic experience, blocking of attraction to primary libido objects in oedipal period is empirically supported. It is proven that diagnosis and correction of regressive behaviours of siblings is effective not only due to the spontaneous activity of the respondent in psycho-correction process of Active Social and Psychological Knowledge (ASPK) but also the inner psycho order is built during diagnostic interaction in accordance with psychodynamic methodology.
