The thesis suggests a new integrated approach to cognitive and pragmatic nature of proverbs with omens semantics of German, English, Ukrainian, Russian languages; it classifies proverbs with omens semantics in phrase and semantic groups; presents their frame modelling in the structure of concept PEOPLE'S FORECAST in German, English, Ukrainian, Russian languages; analyses proverbs with omens semantics as speech acts and their pragmatic potential has been revealed; characterizes common tendencies in linguistic and cognitive and pragmatic modelling of proverbs with omens semantics and distinctive of their national and cultural variants.
