The paper deals with the analysis of meaning plurality by means of revealing its invariant images in the Ukrainian, Russian and English languages. The invariant images enable the systematization of the basic principles of verbal representations of the multitude idea in different languages and functional styles. The material used illustrates the connection between the 12 images defined by G. Berestnev in Russian linguistic consciousness and the plural meanings of words.
