Essay

The subject: experimental acute nitrate-nitrite toxicosis in steers. Objective research: to study the effect of ascorbic acid in the combined use of pyridoxine hydrochloride and thiamine hydrochloride on the activity of enzymes AOS of the body and the level of aggressive lipid peroxidation products formed during the nitrate-nitrite toxicosis. Test methods:clinical, pharmacological, toxicological, biochemical and biometric. Scientific innovation: it was to revealed new aspects of the pathogenesis of acute nitrate-nitrite toxicity in calves, in particular, its effect on the activity of enzymatic system of antioxidant defense and intensity of lipid peroxidation processes in the blood of steers. It was established that the toxic effect of nitrite appears thanks to methemoglobin formation, which leads to inhibition of the antioxidant system and enhance of lipid peroxidation of cell membranes of hepatocytes.Vitamins preparations inhibit the processes of lipids peroxidation, were established. It was performed the comparative pharmacotherapeutic assessment by the combined use of ascorbic acid and pyridoxine hydrochloride and thiamine hydrochloride for the treatment of acute nitrate-nitrite toxicosis. Degree of implementation:based on the research results developed patent for useful model 64847, Ukraine "Correction method of antioxidant defense in young cattle under nitrate stress".
