Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the current scientific problem of studying and determination of social - pedagogical conditions of parental competence forming in families with children with psychophysiological development disorders. In dissertation research the theoretical and methodological bases of parental competence in families with children with psychophysiological development disorders were justified. On the designated topic the main approaches to the concept of "the phenomenon of fatherhood" were justified. The essential characteristics of the emotional and social, communicational and pedagogical competence which together compose the parental competence. Social and pedagogical conditions that ensure the efficiency of the formation of parental competence in families with invalid children were defined and justified. Scientifically substantiated the concept of "parental competence" as an integrative personality characteristics, identified the component parts of parental competence, defined the criteria for assessing of parental competence in families with children with psychophysiological development disorders. A tooling for diagnostic of parental competency level on the basis of which the criteria was developed and the program "Formation of parental competence in families with children with psychophysiological development" disorders was presented.
