The dissertation is devoted to the problem of forming meaningful professional skills of future officers in the course of special physical training. The current state of the issue of forming meaningful professional skills in psychological and educational research in physical education in higher military educational institutions was analyzed. The essence and meaning of terms "ability", "skill", "professional skills", "significant professional skills" were outlined.The technology of forming meaningful professional skills of future officers in the course of special physical training, which includes objective, principles, methods, forms and contents was proved and developed. The structure of technologies of forming significant professional skills of the future officers that includes conceptual, contextual and procedural components was determined.A methodological support of technologies of significant professional skills during special physical training, which includes preparatory, motivational orientation, content and practical, analytical and effective steps was developed.
