Essay

Object - a process of synchronization of spaced time and frequency standards using signals of public sources. Purpose - improving the passive systems of synchronization through the use of hardware and algorithmic solutions which allow to increase the precision of comparison of spaced time and frequency standards. Methods - time, frequency and correlation analysis theory, mathematical modeling, probability and mathematical statistics theory, numerical analysis. Results - a new simulation model of a typical antenna-feeder path has been developed, based on which theoretical analysis has been performed enabling to additionally correct for the effect of signal delay fluctuations on the resulting total error of synchronization; a method of determination of the effect of coherent local oscillator instability on the result of time and frequency scales comparison has been improved, which enables to consider the effect of a set of destabilizing factors; a method of determination of the shift of spaced time and frequency standards has been improved with the use of a newly developed special technical equipment. Implementation - in research activity at KNURE and at the National Scientific Centre "Institute of Metrology", and in the training course "Radio Navigation Networks and Synchronization Systems" at KNURE.
