Drygaylo S. System of service by newspaper fonds in the conditions of growthing of informative necessities of readers: experience of the V. I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine (1991-2010)

The dissertation is a comprehensive research of newspaper fonds readers service system. The source base and historiographical analysis of the problem are made in the work. The theoretical and methodological principles and the technique of research are disclosed and proposed. Analyzed the main stages in the history newspaper department assets VNLU. Elucidated the structure, content and information needs of readers of newspaper collections, especially of information and communication activities to meet those needs are clarified. A conceptual model of service of newspaper fonds readers to meet their growing information needs is proposed. The feasibility of improving services through the development of strategies for its development is proved. The main areas of proposed strategy in terms of information is made. It was substantiated that the current system of service newspaper fonds readers consists of two components - information and communication activities of readers combined with multifaceted activities of library newspaper division to provide readers in newspaper articles and integrated and synthesized information.
