Essay

The object is the Ukrainian phraseological units that represent nonverbal communication; the aim is analysis of the components, semantics and structure of Ukrainian paralinguistic phraseological units, the determination their cultural and national peculiarities in communicative ethnic space; methods are as follows: correlation linguistic and extra linguistic phenomena, component analysis, descriptive, comparative, ethno cultural commentary, statistic analysis; novelty - for the first time in Ukrainian linguistics the complex research of the peculiarities of paralinguistic phraseological units is realized; the structural and semantic varieties of the phraseological units are determined; settings and tactics of nonverbal communication represented by the phraseological units are described; the place of these linguistic units in common phraseological stock is stated; their cultural determination on East-Slavonic language foundation is proved; attention is paid to cultural specific orientations in semantics of paralinguistic phraseological units; the characteristic of emotional and cognitive sphere of the Ukrainians is given with these units, emotional culture cognitive human sphere and typological national characteristics are opened; stereotype models of nonverbal behavior of the Ukrainians represented in phraseological units from position of normalization and standardization are specified; results - the fact material, basic states and conclusions of the dissertation can be used in lexicographical practice and in educational process in teaching phraseology, stylistics, theory of communication, linguistic study of culture, paralinguistics, psycholinguistics on a philological faculty; field is linguistics.
