We highlight the structural, semantic, and cognitive features of onomasiological terms of the Agricultural and Soil Microbiology (ASM) sublanguage. The corpus of linguistic material was formed on the basis of certain selection criteria. In our paper we have disclosed the content of the basic concepts of word formation, onomasiology, cognitive linguistics.
