This dissertation reviews the main features of the implementation of the principle of sovereign equality of states in modern international law. The main approaches to the definition of the principle of sovereign equality of states in modern international law and the main elements of its normative content are analyzed. The main problems of the principle of the implementation of the principle of sovereign equality of States at present stage are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the implementation of this principle in the practice of international organizations. The peculiarities of the international legal status of micro-States in the today’s world, in the context of the principle of sovereign equality of States are researched.
