Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the studying of chineese-russian-ukrainian musical contacts on the example of musical life of Harbin of the first third of 20th century through the lens of socio-cultural factor. For the first time it is reproduced in the multiple forms the panorama of russian and ukrainian Harbins musical life on the first third of XX century on the base of historiographic analysis, generalization of the revealed and inserted to the scientific circle of the musical, historical, memoirs, archive documental and periodical sources. It was analized and described the specific of cultural educational and musical institutions of Harbin on the first third of 20th century: Harbin's symphonic orchestra activity, Opera theatre and Operetta theatre, chamber instrumental bands, musician and pedagogical activity of the individual musical public figures, traced their further creative destiny after japanese occupation of Harbin.
