The thesis is devoted to the problem of forming the professional competence of future specialist of operative and rescue service of civil protection. It is pointed out that professional activity of a rescuer is one of the most complicated, for it requires the ability to solve problems effectively in extreme conditions, connected with risk to life, limited time for making decisions, high level of responsibility for his own actions, as well as for the actions of his subordinates. The professional training of a future specialist of operative and rescue service of civil protection, who is capable of performing the professional activity, in higher educational establishment is connected with forming the acmeological competence, which provides the ability of a personality to achieve a great success in solving professional problems. The acmeological approach becomes of great importance in the process of acmeological training.
