Object of research: the process of electromechanical energy conversion in the inertial flywheel energy storage in the modes of acceleration and deceleration of a local train. The purpose of the study: to establish regularity of influence of parameters on the performance of on-board electromechanical flywheel energy storage, as well as evaluation of their functioning as a part of the electric traction for acceleration and deceleration of a local train. Research Methods: the finite element method, the find areas of mutual inductance coils of the armature winding, Runge-Kutta method and the implicit trapezoidal rule for solving systems of differential equations, the computer simulation, the theory of experimental methods. Theoretical and practical results: obtained regularity that establish a connection with the performance parameters of flywheel energy storage energy and power, as well as identify and evaluate properties of the energy storage when it is working as part of a traction drive local trains during acceleration and deceleration. The universal mathematical and simulation models for the practical realization are studded. Conceptual design of a perspective local train with on-board flywheel energy storage device is created. Novelty: the rationality of the sector type magnetic system in combination with the ferromagnetic screen is grounded; analytical expressions of the machine constants and the electromagnetic parameters for armature windings are found; the properties of energy storage device in all its operational modes are described through three-dimensional performance; power flows are controlled through satisfactory switching; energy efficiency indicators as a part of the traction electric drive that show the ways to improve the quality of the investigated technology are introduced. Degree of implementation: the results of the thesis put into practice the design of electric driver of rolling stock of Luhanskteplovoz and the educational process the department of electrical transport and diesel electric locomotive building of NTU "KPI".
