The thesis focuses on the problem of interactive teaching English fiction-based monologue to the 2-d year students. The research provides theoretical substantiation and practical elaboration of the methodology of interactive teaching English fiction-based monologue to future teachers. Fiction is treated as bases on the monologue. Criteria for fiction selecting were theoretically substantiated. The notion “Interactive teaching” was defined. The requirements to the interactive tasks for future teachers have been described. The complex of interactive tasks to develop skills in making up English monologues has been worked out. The effectiveness of the suggested methodology was verified and confirmed during the experimental teaching. Methodological recommendations on how to organize interactive teaching English fiction-based monologue to future teachers have been developed and applied in practice in three Ukrainian higher educational establishments.
