Rodionova T. Returns on Foreign Investments in Emerging Markets

The influence of returns on foreign investments onto the formation of external imbalances is evaluated. A methodology is proposed to compute indicators of returns on foreign investment and calculate the coverage ratio of foreign investment, which can serve as an indicator of the cost of foreign investments and instability in the country. The directions of development of state regulation of foreign capital flows are developed, the implementation of which by governments of emerging economies will protect the financial systems from the hidden outflow of financial resources abroad.
