Essay

Dissertation focuses on the role of the thyroid gland functional activity determination in the endometrial malignant tumors pathogenetic mechanisms and pathogenetic substantiation of using interfering RNA (siRNA) transfection feasibility in endometrial tumors for the purpose of therapeutic intervention. For the first time found that hypothyroidism leads to greater intensity of tumor growth, atypic cellular manifestations together with proliferative processes strengthening. For the first time confirmed the thyroid hormones role in tumor cells apoptosis in conditions of adenocarcinoma experimental models. Hyper- and hypothyroid states were proved to reduce the immune system activity in antineoplastic regulation by decreasing of tumor tissues dendritic cells quantity and functional activity. Efficiency of siRNA transfection specific for the gene SOCS1 in case of endometrial malignancies was confirmed. It was shown firstly that siRNA transfection leads to mature dendritic cells (CD83) markers expression increase in case of hypothyroidism as well as nonunmature dendritic cells (CD1a) markers expression increase in case of hyperthyroidism. siRNA transfection in case of hypothyroidism was shown to suppress the tumor cells proliferation in the greater extent compare with the hyperthyroidism.
