Essay

In the dissertation the issue of active materials production from blast-furnace slags by means of using new way of their preparation, i.e. fine grinding to increase their superficial activity. In the dissertation defines the method of production of blast-furnace slag disperse fractions and optimal mode parameters for jet crushing machine to obtain fine samples of blast-furnace slag of different fractions. Various factors influencing blast-furnace slag superficial activity were determined. Optimal grain-size composition was found for finished material as well as its dispersity determined with specific surface (S=0,6 - 0,8 m2/g). PSM-slags (air jet comminuted slags) were found to have maximum activity of 30 MPa or 40 MPa with addition of activator (15 to 20 per cent Portland cement). Three technological options were developed for active materials production from blast-furnace slags. In all of the three options a high profitability level is ensured by low cost of the binder due to use of secondary raw materials and ecological compatibility of the process.
