This research focuses on philosophical and anthropological dimensions of the phenomenon of love in the Eastern patristic heritage. Shown and proved that the basic theoretical origins in eastern philosophy love of the Church Fathers were biblical theology of love and ancient philosophical hermeneutics of this phenomenon. Analysis of the ontological status of love in the structure of human existence, which is revealed in the three vectors – as a specific attitude to the world as ethical and aesthetic attitude to another and as the purpose of existence of the individual. It should be noted that these three vectors for the eastern fathers, do not conflict with each other and constitute a single whole human life. Deals with the epistemological status of love in the structure of human cognition and proved that she is to eastern patristic tradition is more preferred cognitive means the Other, world and yourself rather than logic and rossudkovi acts. It was established that the eastern patristic heritage has produced a specific conceptual framework of the relation of love: the taste of love, dart of love, the bond of love, the law of love, the wings of love, the fire of love, love for body, love for soul, the concept of «sober inebriation love’s». It was found that the eastern patristic considers the love of the opposite sex as a model of interpersonal love, which is the basis for the emergence of any other kind of feeling – to neighbor, to enemy, to God.
