Object - the process of foreign language training of students of pharmatheutical sphere. Purpose - to ground theoretically and approve experimentally the methodology of developing future pharmacists' reading competency in professional English on the basis of individual cognitive styles of learning. Methods - theoretical, empirical, statistic. Theoretical results and novelty - the methodology of developing future pharmacists' reading competency in professional English on the basis of individual cognitive styles of learning has been scientifically grounded and elaborated; the essence and structure of the concept "foreign language reading competency" in the context of future pharmacists' professional training has been defined; the influence of individual cognitive learning styles on the efficiency of professional communicative competency development has been studied; the linguodidactic model of developing future pharmacists' reading competency in professional English has been elaborated; the criteria, evaluative indicators and levels of developing reading competency in professional English have been defined; the essence of the concept " individual cognitive styles of learning" has been defined; the theory and practice of teaching foreign language reading for professional purposes have been further developed. Practical results - a study guide for students of pharmatheutical sphere "Medical English for Pharmacists: Reading Comprehension", a set of problematic situations, exercises and tasks for teaching reading skills to future pharmacists, guidelines for developing future pharmacists' reading competency in professional English on the basis of individual cognitive styles of learning have been developed. Efficiency of introduction is high. Branch - pedagogical, higher educational establishments.
